We are looking for engineers, economists, industry analysts, and sales executives. Our London office is in Hatton Garden in the centre of town: we're in the middle of the dynamic East London tech and media scene; we’re close to Fleet Street, the heart of London’s historic publishing industry; and we’re near to the economic and financial hub of the City of London.

Engineers

We're always looking for people who have got strong Python and/or JavaScript skills and are interested in big data and beautiful visualizations.

Data Visualization Engineer: JavaScript

We want you to help us make our data visualization tools better, faster, and bring them to a wider audience.

You need to have:

  • JavaScript experience. With or without jQuery.
  • Knowledge of MVC / MVVM frameworks (e.g. Backbone).
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS (especially recent standards development).
  • Used to working with git (or mercurial).

And it would be really great if you also had some of:

  • Python/Django experience.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
  • Numerical/scientific/mathematical background.

and if you've published or contributed to any open-source software, then tell us about it!

Python/Django developer

We’re looking for Python developers to build our data visualization and publication platform. We develop in Python/Django and JavaScript, so any JS experience is a huge plus.

You’ll work across the whole stack. We don’t expect you to know everything you need to do before you start, but you'll learn fast.

You need to have:

  • Python experience.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
  • Used to working with git (or mercurial).

And it would be really great if you also had some of:

  • Django experience.
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS (especially recent standards development).
  • JavaScript experience.
  • Numerical/scientific/mathematical background.
  • Understanding of AI/ML techniques.

Devops Engineer

We're looking for a devops engineer to manage and grow our data mining and visualization platforms. You'll need to have used Chef, Puppet, or a similar system.

You'll be comfortable working in heterogeneous systems, and very focused on making things work. You'll be happy stringing bash scripts together, or integrating platforms with our Python/Django visualization stack.

You need to have:

  • Chef/Puppet or equivalent
  • Python or JavaScript experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux.
  • Used to working with git (or mercurial).

And it would be really great if you also had some of:

  • Django experience.
  • Interest in data visualization.
  • Numerical/scientific/mathematical background.

Industry Intelligence

We are aggressively expanding the sales division in our London offices and are looking for self-motivated and ambitious sales people to develop business across our industry intelligence products.

Business Development Executive EMEA

The primary development strategy is to maximise revenue, yield and market share for our industry intelligence division.

This is to be achieved by:

  • Making outbound prospecting calls to C-Level Executives and Key Decision Makers within multinational organisations for new business opportunities
  • Initiating and answering sales calls for Timetric products and services
  • Accepting orders, closing sales, maintaining customers records and completing required documentation
  • Conducting telephone conversations to identify and qualify prospective customers and recording sales prospecting activity in Salesforce CRM
  • Arranging web conference and face to face meetings (with opportunity for international travel where justified)
  • Carrying out account review/renewal calls at regular intervals
  • Maximising revenue and customer satisfaction within assigned territories

As an EMEA Sales Executive you will have:

  • 1-2 years proven sales experience in media sales, business intelligence sales (or equivalent)
  • Be educated at least to degree level (or equivalent) (Economics, PPE, Business Studies, Finance, Politics, International Studies or similar an advantage)
  • Proven Business to Business sales experience in a related role or background selling financial products in other high end corporate sales roles.

A successful International sales executive will:

  • Be intelligent, articulate and have excellent English speaking and writing communication skills
  • Be enthusiastic, independent and money motivated
  • Have a strong interest in international business/regional affairs and actively follow the financial markets
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Be able to speak more than one language (European/Arabic) being an advantage (but not essential)
  • Be able to assimilate complex information
  • Have exceptional closing skills
