Searching Series
Timetric's search engine is often the best way to find the data you are after. Searching 'unemployment rate', for example, gives all the topics and series containing the phrase 'unemployment rate'.
Dataset and topic results are listed first, followed by individual series. All the series show the latest value and depict a preview of the graph of that series. The series are arranged by relevance but this can be changed to show results by ascending or descending order in terms of value.

You can also filter data by values you are looking for. If you're looking for unemployment rates greater than 12%, simply enter 12 in the 'Value greater than' field under the Filter menu and click 'Go'.

To compare 2 series from your search results, select the 2 series and scroll down to the bottom to overlay.

Overlay will give you graph with both series.

Alternatively selecting the scatter option will plot unemployment rate in Finland against the unemployment rate in France.
All of timetric's data is organized by tags. These tags are non-hierarchical keywords or terms assigned to different series. For instance data from Greece is given a 'Greece' tag. Clicking this tag on the search results page, filters the results for all unemployment data with the Greece tag.

In addition to standard tags, data on timetric are also assigned 'machine tags'. These machine tags are usually automatically assigned to series based on the information the series contains or the data source. To reveal the machine tags for series in the search results machine, simply select the 'Show machine tags' option on the left.

Selecting one of the machine tags will filter the search results for that machine tags. For instance the machine tag - timetric:dataset=oecd.eo will show you all the unemployment rates from that dataset:
