Why can’t I see any graphs?¶

Our graphing widget is written with Adobe Flash, and we’ve tested it extensively across a number of operating systems, browsers and Flash versions. Unfortunately though, we do get rare reports from people with difficulty in displaying graphs.

If you’re in this situation, it is probably due to one of the following issues.

• An incorrectly installed version of Flash - try reinstalling it.
• If you’re on Firefox 3, and you have the AdBlock extension installed, this will incorrectly block Flash content (see the SWFObject FAQ). We recommend you upgrade to AdBlock Plus 1.0.

If you’re still having difficulties, please tell us about them. It’ll help if you let us know which versions of your OS and browser you’re using, and which version of Flash you have installed. (The easiest way to find out your Flash version to go to http://www.playerversion.com/ and cut & paste the contents of the webpage.)

Why don’t you support Internet Explorer version 6?¶

Firstly, we’d like to point out that it’s only the main timetric.com website which doesn’t support IE6 — any Timetric graphs embedded elsewhere will work fine in IE6.

But, unfortunately IE6 doesn’t support the latest web technology; Microsoft themselves strongly recommending upgrading. Two later versions of IE are available, and Timetric supports both version 7 and 8 of IE. If you want to use the main timetric.com site, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version.

But our corporate network is locked down, and we’re tied to IE6 for our intranet!¶

We sympathize with you — it’s an unfortunate state of affairs. We’d recommend installing a supported browser (for example, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari) alongside IE6, for users who need access to Timetric.
