Sudan
Sudan, officially the Republic of Sudan, and is in northeastern Africa. It borders Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Chad and Libya.
Sudan has a population of 42.3 million and is a Federal presidential democratic republic. The capital is Khartoum which has a population of 0.6 million. The largest city is Omdurman which has a population of 2.4 million. Sudan is 150th on the Human Development Index.
Sudan is a member of the UN and an observer government the WTO.
