Peru, officially the Republic of Peru, is in South America. It borders Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and Ecuador.
Peru has a population of 29.5 million and is a Presidential republic. The capital is Lima which has a population of 7.6 million. Peru is 78th on the Human Development Index.
